Matthew D. Anthes
Matthew D. Anthes serves as Director, Federal Affairs for Van Scoyoc Associates, Inc. (VSA) where he advises and assists corporate clients concerning procurement and public policy issues, as well as provides acquisition expertise and support on major procurements. Focusing on information technology, homeland security and financial services, he assists clients in identifying, qualifying and capturing federal grants and contracts. With a focus on the federal government, as well as the Commonwealths of Massachusetts and Virginia, Anthes provides strategic guidance, lead generation and tactical marketing assistance for corporate clients.

In addition, Anthes assists clients with transforming their commercial successes into federal market share. He provides the necessary advice and support to allow clients the ability to become successful in the federal marketplace by overseeing the General Services Administration's (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule process from inception to award. Anthes has secured GSA contracts for Fortune 500 corporations as well as start-up companies.

From 1998-2002 Anthes was a senior associate with Columbus Public Affairs (CPA) in Arlington, Virginia. At CPA, Anthes provided federal acquisition and marketing assistance to corporate clients in their pursuit of federal contracts.

Prior to joining CPA, Anthes served as an assistant manager at The Jefferson Group (TJG) in Washington, DC. At TJG, he assisted clients in identifying their appropriate business strategies and positioning their organization's goals with government decision makers.

Anthes served as a intern/special assistant, to the Clinton Administration Political Director where he developed political landscape briefings for members of the cabinet and served as a link between the Executive Office of the President and elected officials nationwide.

Matthew Anthes earned his undergraduate degree in international relations from Wheaton College and pursued graduate course work in public policy at Georgetown University.
