Carri J. Booth
Carri J. Booth is Director, Government Relations at Van Scoyoc
Associates, Inc. (VSA). Prior to joining VSA in August of 1998, she served
as a deputy legislative assistant for Senator Conrad Burns of Montana,
where she managed commerce, science and transportation issues. Her primary
responsibilities with VSA include close contact with the firm’s
clients and with congressional and agency staff, research and analysis
of a broad range of federal issues, and public relations. Booth’s
current responsibilities are in VSA’s higher education practice
areas where she represents Montana State University Systems and University
of Nebraska Systems, University of Idaho, University of Nebraska, University
of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Federal State Humanities Council and the
National Space Grant Alliance, Inc. Booth works in close coordination
with VSA Vice President Carolyn Fuller on a variety of client activities.
From 1991 to 1996, Booth worked at The Heritage Foundation in the government
relations and foreign policy and defense departments. She has experience
in education and in science and technology, with focus on the appropriations
process. Booth received her B.A. in political science from the University
of Montana in Missoula, Montana
