With a degree in law, plus years of experience in business, government affairs, and education, Mr. Trimble understands the challenges facing institutions and corporations as they cope with the many opportunities available through government programs. Mr. Trimble presents VSA’s clients with a full-range of tactical options for navigating difficult government programs. He knows how to secure important information quickly and how to put it to use for the best outcomes.
Mr. Trimble came to VSA after providing specialized assistance to corporate and public entities regarding both Federal and state funding initiatives. He has worked with the Federal appropriations process, interacted with Federal agencies, been involved in legislative drafting and review, and made professional presentations to executive leadership at many Federal agencies.
Mr. Trimble’s experience is augmented by his previous legal work in contract law, business law, mergers and acquisitions, finance, international business negotiations, and domestic and international business relations in the private and government sectors. He has represented clients’ interests in Spain, Ecuador, Columbia, Guyana, Morocco, the United Kingdom, and the Caribbean.
Mr. Trimble’s understanding of government programs and policies and his ability to assist his clients are due in part to his strong relationships with key Members of Congress, their staff, and the leadership in Federal agencies. “Understanding the process and programs of government will only take you so far,” he said. “An essential key to success in Washington is building relationships based on trust, credibility, and commitment to promoting projects and initiatives that are in the public’s highest interest.”
Mr. Trimble is a native of Texas, but has worked and traveled widely. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, a Masters in Theology from Southwestern Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts from Campbellsville University. In addition, he has completed post-graduate work at both Southwestern and Baylor University. Prior to a successful career in business and law, Mr. Trimble taught graduate school at Southwestern for seven years and regularly served as a visiting professor at universities in Oklahoma and Houston, Texas.
