Jacqueline Schmitz

Manager, Govt. Relations

Jackie Schmitz serves as Manager, Government Relations, at Van Scoyoc Associates Inc. specializing in transportation and infrastructure issues.  Ms. Schmitz tracks legislative developments and provides research and analysis to support the funding and policy priorities of the firm’s clients, with an emphasis on surface transportation issues.

Prior to joining VSA, Ms. Schmitz spent five and half years with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure where she served as a professional staff member for the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit.  Her responsibilities included legislative drafting and analysis of issues related to Federal-aid highway, transit, highway safety, research and technology, and sustainable transportation policy.  Ms. Schmitz also managed surface transportation projects for the Committee.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Ms. Schmitz is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Political Science.
