Channon Hanna specializes in transportation and infrastructure policy, funding, and financing issues for a portfolio of VSA’s corporate, municipal, and trade association clients. From aviation to public transit, highways to ports, Channon offers clients experienced advice on their interactions with the federal government. She has particular expertise in infrastructure funding, finance, and tax issues as well as transportation homeland security issues. She works closely with the Hill, the Department of Transportation, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Prior to joining Van Scoyoc Associates Channon led federal advocacy efforts at two national trade associations, the American Public Transportation Association, and Airports Council International – North America. She also served for six years as legislative assistant to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation under the leadership of both Senator Daniel K. Inouye (D-HI) and Senator Ernest F. Hollings (D-SC).
A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Channon received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University. She and her husband reside in Arlington, Virginia.
