Ashley Strobel joined VSA as a Manager of Government Relations in the fall of 2020. Ashley brings three years of federal advocacy experience in water resources, energy, natural resources, and integrative health issues. In her role at VSA, Ashley provides strategic and technical assistance for a variety of clients including municipalities, ports, water districts, and infrastructure associations.
Prior to joining VSA, Ashley spent three years at the lobbying firm Williams & Jensen where she was responsible for helping manage clients' federal advocacy needs on an array of policy issues including, energy, health care, natural resources, tax, and pensions. Ashley accompanied clients during fly-in meetings with congressional members and staff which discussed social security and tax policies related to public pension plans. She also assisted the firm’s pharmaceutical clients by monitoring key policy hearings, legislation, and agency meetings on pricing and regulatory policies. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ashley prepared client materials tracking state-level outbreaks and implementation of CARES Act provisions.
In 2017, Ashley interned for Congressman Andy Biggs (AZ-05) on Capitol Hill. She also worked on the late Senator John McCain’s 2016 re-election campaign as a Field Organizer. In her role, Ashley helped to recruit and manage volunteers from around the state, organize campaign events, and engage in community outreach to compile potential voter data.
Ashley is a native of Southern California and received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Arizona State University in 2017.
