Austin Brown serves as a Legislative Assistant at Van Scoyoc Associates, supporting clients by developing legislative communications and helping to secure federal appropriations.
Prior to joining VSA, he managed communications and special projects in the Office of the President at the University of Nevada, Reno, and led federal engagement efforts that secured over $11 million in appropriations for the institution. Earlier, Austin interned in the Washington, D.C. office of U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen, where he supported the Senator’s legislative and constituent services teams on a range of policy and communications initiatives.
A proud fourth-generation Nevadan, Austin holds a Master of Public Administration and dual bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno.
