VSA Announces Relocation to The Wharf in 2017

Message from Stu Van Scoyoc

I am delighted to announce that Van Scoyoc Associates has signed a long-term lease for new office space in Washington. In the summer of 2017, we will be moving to The Wharf – a once-in-a generation development spanning 24 acres along Washington’s Southwest Waterfront. This move will provide VSA and our clients with exciting new opportunities.

Located along the historic Washington Channel, The Wharf is a $2 billion multi-use project delivering residential, office, hotel, retail, and cultural space, as well as piers, marinas, parks, and open spaces. With a mile long waterfront promenade, the Wharf’s public space includes two community piers as well as plans for a water taxi to other DC, Maryland, and Virginia waterfront locations.

The development will serve as one of the pilot projects for LEED Neighborhood Development integrating smart growth, urbanism, and green building. VSA’s new offices will occupy the entire 8th floor of 800 Maine Avenue, SW. This will be the first office building delivered and is considered “the gateway to the Wharf.”

The Wharf is at the forefront of a dramatic revitalization of the District’s Southwest waterfront. I am certain that the improvements underway in this sector of the city, including tremendous options for lodging, food and entertainment, will make it one of Washington’s most sought-after neighborhoods.

Although our address will change, the services and amenities you have come to expect as a VSA client will not. Our new office will have best in class conference and guest office facilities, be close to a variety of high end hotels and new restaurants, and provide easy access to the U.S. Capitol as well as many Federal Agency buildings.

I believe that representation in Washington is as critical now as ever before, and am confident that VSA has the best lobbyists in town. I have always viewed change as a positive, and necessary to remain at the top of our game. VSA’s transition to the Wharf will provide the perfect location for VSA to build upon its 25 year legacy of delivering personalized, results-oriented client advocacy.

I encourage you to visit www.wharfdc.com to learn more about the project. I expect you will come away as excited as I am. I look forward to welcoming you to our new space in 2017.
